Green Fingers & Thumb Anyone

*
Just had to share this photo with you, what I'll do to myself to achieve the look I want

*
I was up early this morning dying bamboo sticks green, cause I want them near food (Easter Eggs in fact), I've used food colouring, didn't have green, but remembered you can make green from yellow & blue.  Well I was in too much of a hurry to do this a nice, easy clean way - man ooh man you should see the colour of my fingers, they looked pretty yuk until I'd gone & washed my hair.  I can still see traces of green yuk around the tips of my fingers, under my finger nails & all over my cuticles, I guess I'm just going to have to wait for it to wear off - ha, I never was a fan of the Incredible Hulk.

Why, you ask have I done this, well I'm still working on that Easter project I promised I'd be posting soon, it's now a step or two closer to getting posted.

Yes - I'm still here, Sorry for being so Quiet

.............................................................................................................
Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in posting anything lately.  My household has been pretty busy & hectic in the last couple of weeks & sometimes it's very important for family to come first.  I'm having my second card class this afternoon, so will be posting properly very soon, plus I have not forgotten the requests on how to make the Hersey's Kisses Chocolate Roses.  In fact I'm working on something extra special for Easter based on how the chocolate roses are made & I'm getting excited at the thought of sharing this with you soon - that's if it works of course, hoping it will.

Look What Arrived in My Letterbox

.
Aren't these cards lovely?  Trish put them through my letterbox a few days ago.  I really like them all very much, but must admit I do have a favourite.

The card on the bottom left has been made with Sense of Time from the Spring Mini catalogue.  I love how Trish has stamped the background with this set & En Francais, then mounted the words with the coloured thread running across the card.

Many Thanks to All Those Who Have Contacted Me About the Roses

''
Wow, a very big thank you to everyone who has emailed me comments about my roses.  It was an absolute pleasure to receive emails from so many parts of the world.  And yes I will share how I made the roses later in the week.  They are very easy to make & I will attempt my very first tutorial with matching photos.

As a cancer survivour myself it was an honour to make these for Lorraine to sell during the Relay For Life she's doing this coming Saturday at Mt Smart Stadium here in Auckland New Zealand.

ROSES, ROSES EVERYWHERE

.....
Aren't these roses beautiful, I made them for my friend Lorriane who will be participating in the Relay For Life at Mt Smart Studium Saturday 20 February 2010.

Relay is not a race – it’s a celebration and awareness-raising event for the survivors and families of those with cancer - it’s a time for remembrance. Started in 1985 by an American Cancer Society volunteer, Relay is now the biggest fundraiser for cancer in 20 countries around the world.

It was a pleasure to make these roses for Lorraine who intends to sell them during the relay.

Important information I forgot to mention in this post yesterday.
The Roses are made with Hersey's Chocolate Kisses
so not only are they lovely to look at but you can also enjoy eating the chocolate kiss hidden inside each rose.

Two Cute Bears Together Forever

As promised - here's the full photo of my Valentine's Day Class card.  Sorry for the long wait, we have been having computer problems for about a month & a week ago our modem just died.  Amazing how important the computer has become to me, I think I've missed it more than my son has.

I love Punch Art & Stampin' Up punches are perfect for creating many different works of art.     This card uses the following circle punches: 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1/2" & the retired 1/4", plus the large & small ovals for the bears noses.  The ribbon is the beautiful Real Red Polka Dot ribbon available in the Summer Mini until the 31st March.

I hope to be back blogging again soon, this post has been done at my friend Robyn's place.

Added Monday 1st February - I didn't have this info with me when I posted my two bears card a few days.  This card was inspired by the very talented Laura Lipe, I fell in love with her polor Bear Christmas card & thought it would make a lovely Valentine's Day card.

I've just discovered the newest challenge blog which is a down under one 2nd challenge is to Just Add ...a heart - so do check out the other great entries at Just Add Ink

Just a Taste

.
A little look at some of the projects we'll be making at my very first class this coming Saturday, 23rd January here in Te Atau Peninsula.  There are still a couple of spaces available, so if you're wanting a fun break from the kids (during the school holidays), come & join us.  580 Te Atatu Road, Te Atatu Peninsula - Time: 2.15pm - 4.45pm - Cost $18.00 for 3 projects plus a free gift from me.

This very cute card has been cropped to approx half its actual size

The photo doesn't do this chocolate rose justice, it looks much better IRL.  We will be making three of these with a small matching gift card.
