I Just Had To Case This

1. Is it good if a vacuum really sucks?
2. Why is the third hand on a watch called the second hand?

3. Why do we say something is out of whack? What is a whack?

4. Why is it called "after dark" when it really is "after light"?

5. Why are a "wise man" and a "wise guy" opposites?

6. Why do "overlook" and "oversee" mean opposite things?

7. If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay you to do it?

8. If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?

9. If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

10. Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control
when you know the batteries are dead?

11. Why do we put suits in garment bags and garments in a suitcase?

12. How come abbreviated is such a long word?

13. Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

14. Why do they call it a TV set when you only have one?

15. Christmas - What other time of the year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?

I saw this on Jacque Pedersen's blog recently and had a real chuckle over it.  Like Jacque I especially love the last one and can relate to the one about remote controls, as our batteries need replacing, but I have forgotten to get some my last couple of visits to the supermarket.

Well here goes, I'm going to attempt to place a link to Jacque's blog now.
Thanks to KarenR helping me, I have linked to Jacque's blog properly.  Amazing how simple, quick and easy things are when you know what your're doing.

  1. very good - remember to link highlight the word in this case Jacque Pedersen & then click on the world with the infinity sign or just link - copy & paste the link in - I use - easy to remember

Yes you may delete my comment :-)

  2. no, I won't delete your comment, it's very helpful, I even remember you showing me some of what you have just said. I'll have a play later
